1. Description of Service
Ur Ziggurat operates as a localized peer-to-peer (P2P) classified and communication platform connecting buyers and sellers of precious metals (primarily gold and silver) across Iraq.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Ur Ziggurat is not a financial institution, exchange, brokerage, or metal custodian. We do not process payments, handle money transfers, validate the authenticity/purity of listed metals, or act as an escrow agent. All transactions and trade agreements are negotiated and finalized directly between users offline.
2. Safety & In-Person Transactions
Because transactions are conducted offline, you assume full responsibility for your personal safety and financial security. You agree to adhere to the following mandatory safety protocols:
- Public Meeting Places: All physical exchanges must take place in high-traffic, highly secure, public spaces — preferably verified gold markets (Souqs), retail jewelry stores with scales, or prominent shopping centers. Never agree to meet in isolated, private, or unverified locations.
- Verification of Metals: Sellers must permit buyers to verify the weight and purity of the gold/silver at a professional gold smith or jeweler before money changes hands.
- Cash-in-Hand Exchanges: Payment is strictly settled directly between parties, typically in cash (USD or IQD). Do not send advance payments, digital deposits, or bank transfers before physically verifying the metal.
3. Account Registration & Conduct
To use certain features of the platform, you must register using a verified phone number. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete profile information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Not list counterfeit metals, stolen property, or illegal items.
- Not manipulate market rates, post fraudulent listings (bait-and-switch), or engage in harassment, spam, or abusive behavior inside user chats.
4. Content Moderation & Safety Enforcement
To keep our trading communities safe, users have the ability to report suspicious listings, fraud, or abusive behavior. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to monitor user activity, remove active trade listings, and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these safety standards or engage in suspicious behavior.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ur Ziggurat (including its developers, owners, and operators) shall not be liable for:
- Any transaction disputes, disagreements over gold/silver purity, weight discrepancies, or financial losses occurring during or after offline exchanges.
- Any physical harm, theft, property damage, or fraud resulting from meetings arranged via the application.
- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of listings, the reliability of active traders, or the uninterrupted availability of our application servers.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iraq. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Iraq.
8. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms inside the app and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the platform after such updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
